SIGN OF HARRY STYLES TIMES

Who does not know Harry Styles? He is one of ex member of One Direction. He is the last member from one dirction who make his solo single and album, but it does not matter. With untamable hair, a wide, cheeky grin and 70’s rock leanings he can still compete with the other members. His new track, a guitar-driven ballad called “Sign Of The Times” received its first play on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show on Friday morning on April 7th 2017.

“It’s the song I’m most proud of writing, I think,” Styles told Nick Grimshaw shortly after it premiered. The label’s CEO Rob Stringer said “In marked contrast to One Direction’s production by committee, Styles has crafted a set that recalls the regal high-water mark of ’70s British rock, Bowie and Queen in particular. The lead single, which come out this month, sounds like it would be a smash in any decade.” However, fans who searched for “Harry Styles” on Spotify on Friday morning were initially unable to find the song. For a time, it also failed to appear as it was supposed to on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist.

Spotify representative told Variety that this error occurred because of “a technical issue for both Free and Premium”. The representative added: “There should be no further issue, though users unable to play this track need to re-install the Spotify application to remove the cache. However, this hasn’t stopped Styles fans from worrying that the glitch has “messed up” his single campaign.

“It’s likely he has missed out on hundreds of thousands of streams as a result,” the source explains. “That could really affect his chart position come Friday. He is Number One at the moment, but that’s only because his streaming stats haven’t been included yet, and they have more weight.”

Unlike on spotify which has a trouble, this song effortlessly hit the first place on iTunes chart in UK, US, Australia, Brazil, and Canada. In addition, this song can ruin Harry Styles’s mate, who he adore the most, Ed Sheeran, shot at Australian chart hisory. Ed Sheeran’s song, shape of you, can not match ABBA’s Fernando, the longest-running No. 1 in Australian chart history after it sat at No. 1 for 14 weeks in 1976 because shape of you juat stay on top for 13 weeks.

Sign Of The Times takes nearly six minutes long. The lyrics, title, and cover art indicate that Styles in apocalyptic territory, and he seems to use the end of the world as the metaphor for the end of a relationship. He sings the word “bullets” in a slightly creaky falsetto no less than 16 times in the song’s first four minutes, before the soaring coda reveals what he’s really talking about: “We don’t talk enough, we should open up or Before it is all too much.”

When you listen to “Sign of the Times” on YouTube, the sidebar is filled with unbelievably histrionic reaction videos, thumbnails of vloggers looking beatific and upset, pulling their own hair or looking slack-jawed and dumbfounded. “Sign of the Times” is clunky and repetitive enough to worm its way into your brain, and probably onto the radio, and its vague signaling at our current political turmoil might give it extra stickiness.

After launching this single, Styles has now shared dramatic photos of him posing topless in a pool of pink-ish water, along with the following tracklisting:

This album will be realesed on May 12, so you can not only just buy the album, you can also buy his World Tour’s ticket on May 5. This world tour will start from September 19 in the United States and end December 8 in Japan. Unfortunately, Singapore is the only country in Shoutheast Asia that he will visit, so Styles fans in Indonesia should be patient and pray that he will come to Indonesia next year.

ARDIANSYAH, Media and languages enthusiasts

Ardiansyah (27), who will graduate his master degree with english linguistics major from Atmajaya next month, is a content officer in Kompasiana since 2015. It is not his first time to work at the media company, he had worked at the Jakarta Post as a proofreader editor in 2012. Working at the Jakarta Post was interesting for him because he needed to work in team with some British native editors, but actually the Jakarta Post is a newspaper which use American style.

Working with native is one of the most interesting advantage that you will get when you work at media company which use english as their language. Besides, traveling is the other interesting advantage that you will get, as Ardi said “The most interesting thing when you work at media company, you can traveling for free. You can do your job while traveling”

However, working at media company has a difficulty (especially when you work at the Jakarta Post), you have to translate the news that you get in bahasa into english. It is quiet difficult when you can not find the right equivalent. For instance, like Ardi said he could not find the right word to translate “angkot” in english.

For some people who want to work at the media company, Ardiansyah has a good advice. “If you want to work at media company, you need to start to write from now and post it on several platforms. You can write anything you want, it can start from a simple thing like food review. It is really important for you when the interviewer want to know your quality in writing”

Ardiansyah also has a good advice when you finally get a job in media company, but you had the writer’s block and should complete the deadline “For instance, you have written a straight news and then you got the writer’s block, so you can divide that news into another news, you jump into someone's point of view (the victim point of view for example), so you can also write a feature news from that.”

Media companies were not the only place that he had applied to. With influnced from his friend, he tried to work at Bank DKI in 2013 for 2 years. 2 years were enough for him to realized that being a banker was not his passion because he found out that his education background was useless when he worked there. So, he quit that job and expand his experince in media as content officer in Kompasiana since 2015 until now.

Talking about his education background, he had graduated his barchelor degree with english major from STBA LIA. With his high curiosity in english, he continued his study with english linguistics major. He said  “I always got a bad score in linguistics, but it made me want to learn linguistics more. Unfortunately, I did not have much time to re-take the class (in STBA LIA), so I decided to take linguistic as my master degree”

Video games, musics, and movies were the things that made him interested in english. “I love to play video games, but I do not know how to play it, if I do not know what is the meaning of the instruction because I do not  have a large vocabulary in my mind and it is quiet tiring if I should check every single word in dictionary. I also like listen to musics and watch some movies without subtitle to increase my vocabulary” Ardi said.

However, english is not the only language that he interested in. Spanish and French are another language that he learned. He learned Spanish and French in 2010 from a tutor that he got from University of Indonesia. He finished the course for about 6 months, but it was quite difficult for him to speak Spanish and French with the right pronunciation because the tutors were Indonesian.

Being someone who work at media company is not easy for some people, but for Ardiansyah is different. Media company is like his world, even when STBA LIA offers him to be one of the lecturer there, he still can not decide because he really loves his job. He really loves to practice all the knowledge that he got and media company is the best platform to explore his knowledge.

Beragam profesi unik dapat ditemui di Jakarta seperti para seniman jalanan yang memakai kostum dan make up untuk menghibur para pengunjung di kawasan Kota tua, para pengayuh sampan di pelabuhan sunda kelapa, dan para pengayuh becak di kawasan bekasi. Apapun dapat dijadikan pekerjaan untuk mendapatkan nafkah yang halal untuk istri/suami dan anak-anak. Meski panas menerjang dan hujan menyerang, tidak serta merta mematahkan semangat mereka. Jenis-jenis foto

Bagi sebagian orang yang memiliki hobi fotografi, akan sangat penting untuk mengetahui berbagai jenis foto dan teknik pengambilan foto tersebut.
Berikut jenis-jenis foto
1. Blub
Blub adalah jenis foto untuk memanjangkan cahaya. Kita dapat menggunakan bulb untuk pengambilan foto kendaraan di jalan yang seolah memiliki ekor cahaya panjang. Contohnya seperti ini

Adapun bulb juga bisa digunakan untuk foto air yang akan tampak lebih halus. Seperti beberapa contoh di bawah ini

Atau bulb juga bisa digunakan untuk menangkap huruf seperti gambar berikut ini

Teknik pengambilan gambaer bulb sebagai berikut 
a) Biasanya Foto bulb dilakukan pada malam hari. 
b) Gunakan speed rendah atau bulb, speed lebih dari 3 detik. 
c) Karena menggunakan speed rendah, untuk mengimbangi gunakan bukaan atau nilai f besar, f11 sampai f30, gunanya agar gambar bisa terlihat detail keseluruhan tanpa deph of field dan agar cayaha tidak terlalu fler atau terlalu terang. 
4) Karena menggunakan kecepatan rendah, agar tidak ada goncangan saat mengambil gambar agar terjadi flug atau gambar yang gerak, maka gunakanlah alat bantu berupa tripod. Kalau tidak ada tripod, alternatif lain adalah seting kamera dengan timer, dan letakan kamera di landasan yang datar dan jauh dari goncangan. 

2. Shadow
Foto Shadow, seperti namanya yang dapat diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia adalah bayanagan. Foto jenis ini adalah foto menangkap bayangan dengan teknik yang sangat mudah yaitu dengan membelakangi cahaya

 
3. Siluet
Foto siluet ini memang paling pas diambil saat matahari terbenam atau saat membelakangi cahaya
Tips yang tepat untuk pengambilan foto ini sebagai berikut
a) matikan flash
b) cari kondisi pencahayaan yang tepat (backlight)
c) carilah objek yang menarik
d) carilah background yang tepat
e) ukur eksposur dengan tepat

4. Detail
Foto detail ini walau mungkin terkesan tidak penting, tetapi sebenarnya sangat berguna untuk memperjelas sesuatu. Misalnya untuk memperjelas suatu tempat, penulis menggunakan Ragunan sebagai objek foto, lalu di dalam ragunan ada berbagai jenis binatang dan bunga. Binatang dan bunga ini yang disebut detail.

5. Perspektif
Foto perspetif adalah foto yang simetris atas bawah dan kanan kirinya.

Fotografer terbaik di Indonesia dan di dunia

Ada banyak fotografer terbaik di Indonesia dan di dunia, tetapi pada postingan blog saya kali ini hanya akan membahas dua saja: Diera Bachir dan Max Rive.

Fotografer Wanita Terbaik Indonesia : “Diera Bachir” lahir pada tanggal 11 Juli 1985, mempunyai passion dalam fotografi dan traveling, sejak tahun 2011 beliau memulai karirnya di fotografi pernikahan. Di perkembangan karier nya Dierra Bachir kemudian memotret kehamilan, foto bayi, dan foto keluarga. Yang menjadi target foto Dierra Bachir adalah artis-artis ternama di Indonesia, seperti Rafi Ahmad dan Nagita Slavina, Glenn Alienski dan Chelsea Olivia, Olla Ramlan, dan masih banyak lagi, sehingga fotografer wanita ini dinobatkan sebagai Photografer of The Year oleh detik.com.

Berikut hasil karya dari Diera Bachir:

Berbeda dengan Diera Bachir yang mengedepankan foto pernikahan, kehamilan, dan foto keluarga. Max Rive, fotografer asal Belanda ini lebih mengedepankan foto-foto landscape. Ia adalah salah satu dari fotografer yang paling kreatif dalam memotret pegunungan, ia terdorong untuk fokus dalam pemotretan di pegunungan. Dia mulai memotret pegunungan pada musim dingin di tahun 2008 sebagai fotografer amatir yang sedang berjalan-jalan di berbagai tempat dan merekam tiap keindahan dalam petualangannya di pegunungan dengan cara memotretnya. Setelah mengirim beberapa foto hasil karyanya ke internet, Max memutuskan untuk berfokus pada fotografi di daerah pegunungan dan mulai mengunjungi tempat-tempat yang menjadi ikon pada tahun 2012 mengikuti gaya petualangannya dalam dunia fotografi yang menghasilkan banyak foto-foto unik miliknya.
